I'M GLAD YOU'RE HERE

One of the best things about being a trainer and mentor is getting to know so many people on a deeper level. So let me share a little about myself.

HI, I'M NOLAN

I knew from a young age that I wanted to help people.  My first trainer experience came at 5 years old when we had a new fangled traffic light installed at the nursery and I took it upon myself to show everyone how it worked.  It sort of snowballed from there.

MY STORY

As a child I was split between a highly reactive parent in the UK, and holidays with my dad in France, where I was allowed to do what I wanted, and had the support to try new things.  I saw what volatility and constricted behaviour was like, and the other side of the coin, where I was allowed to be me.  It was very confusing and led to being a very emotional child, developing ADHD that affected me in school and life.  That's me on the right with the inner tube about to go to the river for a swim in France.

WHY DO I TEACH?

I love sharing information.  I've been a trainer and teacher for all kinds of things over the years.  Sports, sales, marketing, apprentices, massage therapy, specialised kinesiology and dancing (ballroom and swing!)

I developed training programs for a massage school, apprenticeship program and for a few restaurants having grown up in them with my father's restaurant in France and moving to fine dining in the UK, then to a variety of tastes in the US.

Finding patterns and ways to improve the current situation has always been a passion, and something I'm good at!

(This was an impromptu talk I gave at a networking meeting - before losing about 20KG and some hair!)

MY VALUES

Take ownership of your life by understanding yourself first.

Question every belief.

Don't judge others as we never know what happened for them to be who they are.

Give joy, keep yourself others safe, be clear in what you say and want, find peace with yourself and be peaceful for others and add to whatever situation you're in.

And if you can, ride a motorbike.  This is my thinking and head clearing space!
